A Celebration of Vision and Hospitality

For more than three decades, Dennis and Nancy have championed a simple yet powerful idea: that warm hospitality, thoughtful design, and a deep care for people can spark economic opportunity and nurture community well-being.
Through Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants and Hotels—including O.Henry Hotel, Proximity Hotel, Green Valley Grill, Print Works Bistro, and Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen—they have created not just extraordinary guest experiences but also meaningful careers and learning opportunities for countless team members.
This recognition is not just about two individuals—it’s about a community that thrives when people work together with passion and purpose.

Brent Christensen | CEO Greensboro Chamber of Commerce
“We are honored to present the 2025 Stanley Frank Economic and Workforce Development Award here today. Each year, this award recognizes leaders whose vision and hard work make a lasting difference in Greensboro’s economic vitality and quality of life.
Stanley Frank was one of those rare people who could see the big picture and the small details that make a community thrive. From his work with the Chamber and Piedmont Triad Airport Authority to his decades of service with Guilford College, he left his mark all over Greensboro. This award celebrates those who continue in that same spirit.
This year, we’re honoring two people who embody it completely … Dennis Quaintance and Nancy King Quaintance . Through their hotels and restaurants, they’ve built more than businesses. They’ve built experiences. Their properties are where guests fall in love with Greensboro for the first time, whether they are here for a job interview, a site visit, or just passing through. And with their company being employee-owned, they’ve also created an environment where the people serving you have a true stake in the success of the business. That’s a rare and remarkable thing.

When I first moved to Greensboro just over 10 years ago, one of the earliest experiences was staying at the Proximity and having dinner at Print Works Bistro. I remember walking in, being greeted warmly, and leaving with the thought: if this is how Greensboro welcomes people, I’m going to like it here. That’s the Quaintance magic, and they’ve been doing it for decades.
Please join me in congratulating the 2025 Stanley Frank Economic and Workforce Development Award winners … Dennis and Nancy Quaintance.”
“We are Wildly Honored”
